Sightseeing/Walks
The Cotswolds an area of outstanding natural beauty is well worth exploring. An area steeped in history and rich in heritage, the Oxfordshire Cotswolds is a charming blend of bustling market towns like Burford, Stow–on-the-Wolds and Moreton-on-the-Marsh. The Oxfordshire Way a 65 mile long route passes through this scenic and gentle landscape on its way from Bourton-on-the-Water down to Henley-on-Thames. This is a delightful walk through some true English countryside. Another fantastic walk - The Ridgeway National Trail, 87 miles (139km) long offers the chance to get away from the bustle of life in this busy part of England. Perfect, but not too strenuous, for long distance use, this is an ideal trail for day trips or less, much of it following the ancient chalk ridge route used since prehistoric times by travellers, herdsmen and soldiers.
